Malware
Even though my antivirus warned me a gajillion times, I still installed an obviously suspicious program that proceeded to remove all of my settings, change my acount name, remove at least one of my drivers, and delete all my previous restore points, making one after it was installed to that it couldn't be removed easily.
Thus, I decided to reinstall Windows (I have no recovery media), speedrun installing all the drivers and programs that I had, and now my laptop is mostly back to how it was. At least it didn't hack any of my accounts, that would've made the situation even worse.

DreamWeaver... but CS6
Since I have Windows 7 now, and it isn't laggy (unlike my old computer), I tried to pirate DreamWeaver again (less lamely, and target is CS6 instead of MX), and I did it this time. I'm now writing this on DreamWeaver

Windows 7
Recently, my church gave me a Thinkpad T480 that was laying around in their office doing a total of nothing. Considering it was just laying around there, I expected it to be in pretty bad condition, but everything except the second battery actually worked perfectly, and since it was actually better than my previous laptop, I decided to make it my main laptop, and am now writing this post on it.
After charging it overnight, I opened it up, and discovered it was running Windows 11. Personally, I don't like Windows 11, so I doungraded it to Windows 10. The new installation of Windows 10 ran smoother than 11 did, so I'm sticking with it until Windows 10 becomes unsafe to use.
Eventually, halfway through the month, I got bored, and discovered the Thinkpad T480 has support for Windows 8.1. Naturally, I partitioned the SSD in half, and installed Windows 8.1 on the new partition. However, using it was not a pleasant experience. Windows 8.1 fought me on every driver I installed, and I wasn't able to make it fully work.
So, later, since I like Windows 7, I bashed my head on the wall for 2 days trying to figue out how to install Windows 7 on the second partition. Eventually, after enough head bashing, I found Windows 7 for new Hardware, which is a Windows 7 ISO, except that the installer is more similar to Windows 8.1's, and it supports USB 3.0 and SSD.
It actually failed two time in a row, getting stuck at "Installing Windows," but on the third attempt, with a lot of praying, it finished installing. Installing the necessary drivers was actually a pretty smooth experience, with Windows 7 rarely fighting me over anything. Activating it was pretty hard, as almost all Windows 7 product keys have been blocked by Microsoft (I think), but I managed to find a legitimate copy of Windows Loader, and activate it.
Windows Update also didn't work due to the 8th gen processor, but the people at MyDigitalLife made a software tweak that I then used to download updates regardless of the processor.

musicians. The experience was nice.

DreamWeaver fail
Today, I realized that a lot of FrontPage stuff require web-hosting services that support FrontPage extensions, which aren't really common in 2025.
Thus, I decided to try to pirate DreamWeaver MX. I managed to get the installation application, but was not able to find a working serial number. So, I gave up.

FrontPage
Today, I downloaded and installed Microsoft FrontPage.
"Why," you may ask? Well, firstly, it's fancy. What I mean is that it can fill in code and stuff.
Like, when I type the first tag of the, say, italic tag, it fills in the second tag, making writing tags - which is what makes HTML HTML - easier.
Furthermore, when I can't figure out how to resize something in CSS, I can just go to the Design tab, and resize it without typing a single letter. Convenient.
However, for most stuff, I still rather prefer coding it myself. It feels more fun. :)
Before using FrontPage, I used to use Notepad++. It was simple, reliable, and easy to use. Moreover, I also used it because I used TheNewBoston's tutorials to re-learn XHTML.
However, when I finished re-learning XHTML, there wasn't really a need to use Notepad++ instead of something else anymore, so getting an editor like FrontPage was inevitable, I suppose.

A Funeral
Today, I played the cello at a local church for a funeral service. It was depressing, but at least I could do a total of nothing for the rest of the day.
